Well, I've kept everybody waiting for too damn long...here's the F-31 Typhoon, in USAFE livery. Yes, I know I seriously need to dust!
Enjoy, modeling fans!

Hard work pays off!
Well, all my modeling work paid off. The weekend of 5/17/13-5/19/13, I attended WonderFest, in Louisville, KY, and entered 5 models. Of the 5, 3 won Bronze Awards!
Below are the pics of my winning entries.

Okay...here's a post, just to keep things...interesting!
I thought I'd toss in a few pics of my latest project, the Moebius 1/8th scale Spider-Sense Spider-Man. All in all, it's a well-engineered kit, that seems to fit together pretty well. There's a few fit issues, but, that's modelling for ya.
Here's the pics!
Okay, kiddies, that's it for today. I'll try to take some more pics as work goes on.
Coming soon: The completed EF-2000 prototype in USAF gunship gray! Next, on BUSY AS A BEAVIS!!!!
Here's the pics!
Here, you can see where I trimmed off the mounting tabs on the end of the arm, so I can attach the arm after I paint it. Genius, yes? LOL!
I did the same thing to the legs. No point in trying to paint a completed kit, right?

Beavis, where HAVE you been?
Good question, actually...Since I last posted, I've been sick with a bout of cellulitis, that landed me on my butt for 6 weeks, and landed a new position at work. Part of that new position required me passing the state of Texas insurance licensing exam--which I did. Now, I can get back to one of the true joys in life, messing up perfectly good model kits!
Expect to see some updates here in the not too distant future!

A little Star Wars collection!
The Imperial Lambda-Class shuttle is not straight out the box. She was preshaded with black, sprayed in Camouflage Gray, and detailed with several other shades of gray. The only part left unpainted was the canopy. I really am not a fan of the cockpit, so I left it black.

The pile of crap is OFF my bench! Hallelujah!
That's right, the bane of my existence, the CzechModel F2R-1 Dark Shark is as completed as it's going to get, and is OFF THE BENCH!!! Here's a couple of shots:
Another past build--the MPC B-Wing
I built this one a while ago, so she's kinda rough. I have another one in the build pile, courtesy a friend who was clearing out his stash (thanks, Jay!), and will hopefully do that one justice!
Oh, and just for the record, this may be the cleanest my bench has been in a while!

Okay...my first build post--some past builds
Here's a few pics of some past builds. Enjoy!
First up, KiTech's 1/32 Blue Thunder
21st Century Toys' 1/32 F4U-1D Corsair
KiTech's 1/48 Spitfire Mk IX
Trumpeter 1/35 M1126 Stryker
These should hold you for now. I have other builds that I need to shoot, and get on here. Patience, padawan. Patience.
Let there be schlock!
Okay, maybe not schlock, per se, but, LDB has joined the weblog craze. Be afraid. Be VERY afraid!
So, why did I decide to join in? Simple, really. I can't just post pictures of my builds on Photobucket, and call it good. I figure blogs get viewed pretty widely, so why not join in?
In my blog, you'll see pictures of kits I've completed, in-progress shots, as I struggle valiantly with crappy kits, and the occasional bit of wittiness, snarkiness, and general sarcasm I'm widely known for.
Don't expect much, at least in the beginning. I have to figure out what the frak I'm doing here. Give me time, and look out, Dennis Miller, Peter Jennings and George Carlin!
And, if you believe that, I have some ocean-front property in Kansas I'd like to talk to you about.
